Biographical Summary:

Kevin Williams is a son of the Caribbean with mixed heritage. Kevin was born in 1986 to a Saint Lucian mother, Lorraine Williams and Guyanese father, Basil Williams, and he proudly claims and embraces both cultures.

Kevin graduated from the Common Law Section at the Faculty of Law, University of Ottawa in June 2018. Kevin has also completed a Master of Arts degree in International Affairs at the Norman Paterson School of International Affairs, Carleton University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Law and Political Science, minor in Spanish with the Highest Honours from Carleton University. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 2019 and is now Legal Counsel at Peel Children’s Aid Society (GTA).

At the Society, Kevin services the youth success team, the intimate partner violence team, the special needs team and several Advice & Assessment Teams. He has represented the Society at First Appearances, Settlement Conferences, Care and Custody Motions, Default Motions and Trials before the Ontario Court of Justice and Superior Court of Justice.

Notwithstanding the rigors of professional life, Kevin’s interests also include tennis, entrepreneurship, global politics, reading, foreign languages, acting in musicals and plays, community service, mentorship and travel.
